Fear and hope

I played cricket as a child with my father and grandfather My sons now play cricket with their father and grandfather A tradition and life experience passed down from one to the next What else do I hope to pass down to the next?

I would like to pass on hope, but I fear That things will be different I would like there to be beaches and polar bears, but I fear That things will be different

I face my fear, although it is a struggle The emotion is hard to bear I face my fear, taking action in a struggle We will fail and it will not be perfect

But in doing nothing, we give in to the fear In doing nothing we are cowards I hope you find the courage, to face the fear In doing nothing it will be worse
