Leadership vs Gaslighting
Two sides of the same coin?
Leadership means setting an agenda, defining direction or reality for a team, group, population. But it is explicit and consensual.
Gaslighting is a conscious (or unconscious?) attempt to control the perception of reality for a team, group or population. It is implicit and non-consensual, hidden and manipulative.
Are you being taken advantage of by would-be agenda-setters who are gaslighting you? Are they using supportive language that chime with your beliefs but set a false conclusion? How would you know? Would it make you angry? Are you missing an opportunity for a better future by following a hidden agenda?
